- Perfect location given right above Kyoto station. Easy to get pretty much anywhere. Very easy for Fushimi Inari in particular (2 stops only / ~5 min on JR Nara line) which is handy if you want to go early before the masses. -Room overlooked the tracks and some of the city which was actually quite a nice view but also extremely quiet/no train noise. Large room, pristine on arrival and kept so by staff. - Several different dining options in JR Isetan and Porto (two different adjacent shopping centres). If you love ramen 10F Isetan is a dream - a floor dedicated to ramen restaurants only, featuring ramen from different regions of the country. - Though buffet breakfast stops at 10, a la carte breakfast goes till 11. Breakfast spread is decent. Includes fresh omelette bar. - Chromecast on TV which actually works.

It was so convenient to be here, especially if you needed to go multiple places and wanted to go to back to the hotel to drop stuff off - the location was prime and central to everything. Everything was really local. The best part in my opinion is the fact that we could just wake up, go down and get our tickets or reload our IC cards without worrying about the rush because if we did it later when the rush happens, it would have felt like a waste of time. We are so happy with our decision to stay here and look forward to coming back soon. The staff members - extremely nice and helpful. Any questions or confusion, they clarified everything and even walked/escorted us to wherever we needed to ensure we were taken care of. Thank you Hotel Granvia for the best hospitality!

I loved the warm welcome I received and that my luggage was taken to my room. The room was enormous and so comfortable and quiet. I loved the extra touches of beautiful porcelain cups and green tea. Daily papers left at my door and I loved the shampoo in the large bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the curtains kept the room nice and dark. The chairs and chaise lounge were so nice to sit in too. Housekeeping staff so friendly as well. The location in Kyoto Station is fantastic. So handy for the Shinkansen and buses. The subway was easily accessed too as well as so many beautiful shops, cafes and restaurants. Kyoto Station is architecturally amazing and a destination in itself.

Located in the main Kyoto station, so connections to Osaka KIX limited train and Nagoya Shinkansen were effortless. Local trains all connect into this station. We weren't in Kyoto long so chose that convenience over staying in the historic area. Staff were efficient and very helpful. Besides the mall in the train station, which is huge, there is an underground mall with tons of restaurants just next to the train station. Also a 7-11 right outside hotel entrance : ) Taxis are always available just outside the hotel. Convenient to Fushimi Inari and south-west sights in Kyoto like Kiyomizu-dera. Room and bathroom sizes were generous.
